The story: Mateo, a 17-year-old hacker in Madrid, finds a crack in the Bank of Spain's systems and, to cover his own tracks, routes the intrusion to make it look American. The lie spins out of control fast — Spanish media leak it, both governments overreact, assets get frozen, ships get repositioned — until a patient investigator traces one careless mistake back to a bedroom above a bakery, and two nations have to publicly climb down from a war that was never real. Ends years later with Mateo teaching bank security himself.
